Challenge
Their existing marketing website was outdated, slow, and difficult to manage. PageSpeed scores were in the low 30s, SEO was non-existent, and the site didn't effectively communicate their value proposition to potential customers in the higher education space.
Solution
Designed and built a complete marketing website from scratch using Next.js with a custom implementation of Payload CMS. Focused on performance, SEO, and accessibility. Created modern, clean design that effectively showcases three product offerings (DataX, Migration, Archiving) with clear conversion paths for demo requests. Natural Language Database Queries with AI
Challenge
A complex multi-tenant database spanning LMS and SIS systems held valuable insights, but only engineers could extract them. Business teams needed answers to questions like enrollment trends, course completion rates, and cross-system analytics—but every request required developer time.
Solution
Built a custom agentic AI framework that translates natural language questions into SQL queries. Users can ask complex questions spanning both LMS and SIS data in plain English and get instant answers. The system handles multi-step reasoning, joins across systems, and returns results in seconds.

Scaling Multi-Tenant Infrastructure for 500+ Institutions
Challenge
Supporting 500+ higher education institutions with billions of daily database queries required infrastructure that could scale reliably while meeting strict SOC2 and ISO27001 compliance requirements. A key challenge: efficiently moving clients between databases in a multi-tenant environment without downtime.

Designed and implemented a multi-tenant, high-availability architecture that handles massive scale while maintaining compliance. Developed an efficient system for migrating clients between databases, enabling flexible resource allocation and seamless scaling as the platform grew.

LMS Migration Automation
Challenge
Needed to migrate 50+ courses from Articulate Rise 360 to Canvas LMS. Every course contained pages, quizzes, interactives, and file attachments that had to work identically.
Solution
Reverse-engineered a custom extraction method to pull content from Articulate Rise 360 exports, then rebuilt everything in Canvas via API. Built the migration tool in Bun.

Birth Tracking App for Healthcare Professionals
Challenge
Labor and delivery nurses needed a fast, private way to track the births they assist with. Existing solutions were slow, required personal patient data, or weren't designed for busy hospital workflows where every second counts.
Solution
Built a mobile app from scratch using Expo and React Native that enables birth tracking in under 5 seconds. Designed with direct input from my wife, a labor and delivery nurse, to match real-world hospital workflows. The app is 100% anonymous—no patient data is ever stored.
Twitch PubSub Library for Node.js
Challenge
Developers building Twitch integrations needed a simple, reliable way to interact with Twitch's PubSub service for real-time events like subscriptions, bits, and whispers. The official documentation was sparse and existing solutions were outdated.
Solution
Created an open source Node.js library that provides a clean, well-documented API for Twitch PubSub. The library handles WebSocket connection management, authentication, reconnection logic, and event parsing—letting developers focus on building features instead of infrastructure.
